Auburn is a city located in DeKalb County, Indiana. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 12,074.
Auburn is the location of the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Festival, held each Labor Day weekend, and of the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum and the National Automotive and Truck Museum of the United States. The Auburn cord Duesenberg festival is said to host the world's largest automotive auction.
Auburn, Indiana is the "Home of the Classics," as Auburns, Cords & Duesenbergs were designed, built and sold locally. Our city with a population of 12,000 welcomes 300,000 visitors to the community during the ACD Festival.
The Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum is the finest Automobile museum in the world, and is housed in the beautiful Art Deco building that once served as the showroom and administration building of the Auburn Automobile Company. NATMUS is right next door and displays trucks, post-war cars and a collection of more than 1000 collectible toys and models. And newly opened- the World War II Victory Museum, along with the Kruse Automotive Museum.

The Events Media Network has ranked the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Festival as a Top 100 Event of the Year. The organization said it chose the ACD Festival after reviewing more than 100,000 events in the United States.
The ACD Festival takes place each Labor Day weekend in Auburn. It attracts visitors in the hundreds of thousands. The festival revolves around Auburn's automotive heritage, highlighted by the classic cars made in the city in the 1920s and 1930s.
Its key events include a parade of classic cars built in Auburn, a mammoth collector-car auction staged by Kruse International, special events at the city's automotive museums and a recent addition, a cruise-in for cars of all makes and eras.
NATMUS is a non-profit museum with emphasis on post World War II cars and trucks but with vehicles on display from 1908 "high wheelers" to current production pick ups. Also you will find inside the doors of NATMUS a Model Car / Truck & Toy Museum (NATMATMUS).

Local daily news in Auburn: Today's Parade Route
The parade of classics is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. at the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum in Auburn, and proceed north on Main Street with a brief stop at the new Classical Event Auction before continuing through Waterloo.
Tour is highlight for ACD drivers
Just before noon, they began lining the street. Vintage Duesenbergs of all colors filled with people stopped in the 1600 block of Wayne Street, ending a ride that began in rainy Garrett and concluded at the same spot it does every year - the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum.
ACD Fest off to roaring start
Men followed him in little packs, looking for a chance to slip into his company and shake his hand or pat his back.
